Walter Beatty- Regional Manager New York

 

A retired law enforcement officer with hands-on private sector security experience, Walter joined Sunstates Security in 2021. He began his career in law enforcement, serving for 25+ years with the New York City Police Department fulfilling several police commands in uniform and plainclothes capacities. Promoted to Sergeant in 2008, Walter performed duties as an impact and conditions supervisor where he oversaw patrol functions and enforcement responsibilities for police officers and detectives assigned to specialized units.  Walter is a certified Police Academy and NYS Security Guard Instructor as well as a 2003 graduate of St. John’s University Criminal Justice Program.

Following his retirement from NYPD, Walter shifted to the private security sector, working as a District and Client Service Manager supporting the Hudson Valley Region. Additionally, he served as an educational consultant for Blue Courage LLC, an organization dedicated to ongoing learning and development. In his current role as Operations Manager, he will be managing a portfolio of clients and a team of security officers, as well as meeting regularly with clients and working towards developing future business in the New York market.

Walter resides in Orange County, NY with his wife Catherine.
