Sunstates Welcomes Bob Cantrell

As Regional Manager 

 

Joining Sunstates Security in May 2021 as Senior Operations Manager, Bob was quickly transitioned into the Regional Manager role in the Charlotte region.  He brings over 35 years of combined military, security, business development, marketing and recruiting experience. Bob has experience in cleared and credentialed federal law enforcement, private security, security police and US Army Military Police positions. His security experience is balanced with his private sector work in recruiting, legal and business administration. In his current role, Bob oversees a team of six Operations Managers and a Regional Support Manager and supports a portfolio of clients representing nearly 13,000 weekly hours of service in the greater Charlotte, NC area. 

Bob’s Background

Beginning his career in the US Army, Bob served as Military Police at the Muenster US Army Depot in Germany, a role in which he performed cleared MP duties protecting life, property and critical weapons. After being honorably discharged from the service, Bob transitioned to a career in the private sector with a role in a construction data company where he worked with analytics, market forecasting and workflow integration solutions. He later returned to his security roots providing cleared force protection and other security details for various critical infrastructure organizations. In 2000 he turned back to the private sector to pursue roles involving business analytics and executive recruiting services.

Bob’s Education and Certifications

Bob holds an Associate’s of Arts degree in Paralegal Studies from Keiser University and an Associates of Science degree in Business Administration from Phillips Jr. College in Melbourne, FL. He has participated in numerous specialized training programs, held Security clearances, and is NASA Federal Law Enforcement Training certified. He currently holds active armed and unarmed security licenses in the state of Florida. His combination of security and business administrative experience will serve him well in his current role overseeing all aspects of recruiting, staffing, and customer service for client security programs across the Charlotte market.
