Key team members accept increased managerial responsibility

RALEIGH, N.C., February 16, 2015—Boosted by a client retention rate that exceeds 95%, average organic annual growth of nearly 30% over the past three years has created additional leadership opportunities at Sunstates Security. The firm recently promoted four key members at the Raleigh, N.C., headquarters.
- Mariah Agsten has been promoted to Human Resources Director. Since joining Sunstates as the Manager of Human Resources, Agsten’s responsibilities have evolved from personally handling all corporate HR tasks to managing Legal & Compliance, payroll, and human resource information systems (HRIS). She has implemented several new systems to streamline the company’s HR services and built a strong support team.
- Lisa Butler has been named Legal & Compliance Manager. She reviews all new service contracts and works with outside counsel. In addition, Butler leads the general insurance and liability programs. Her primary responsibility involves managing compliance and licensing requirements for each state in which Sunstates operates, as well as performing field audits and inspections.
- Tammy Hompesch has been promoted to Payroll and HRIS Manager. A long-time member of Sunstates, Hompesch’s role has evolved to support the company’s growth. She now manages payroll for the entire organization, ensuring timely and accurate payment for all Sunstates employees—a mission-critical function in the protective services industry.
- Roberta Scoblick has added marketing to her responsibilities, now serving as Business Development & Marketing Manager. Scoblick joined Sunstates with more than two decades of industry experience, including marketing experience with a national organization. Although a recent addition to Sunstates, she has demonstrated exceptional initiative in supporting the business development team with marketing tools and guidance.

Such teamwork and dedication have allowed Sunstates Security to double in size over the past four years. Recently, the company debuted at #25 in theSecurity Letter’s annual ranking of the nation’s largest security services firms.
