Forbes Names Sunstates Security Among 2021 America’s Best Employers
Rankings Based on Independent Surveys of 50,000 Employees in 25 Industries
Sunstates Security has been named by Forbes as one of America’s Best Midsize Employers of 2021. Based in Raleigh, N.C., the national provider of uniformed security services is proud to be recognized in the industry category of professional services.
“Taking care of our employees is a fundamental part of who we are as a company,” says Sunstates President Glenn Burrell. “The fact that our employees approve of the culture and atmosphere we have tried to create and would recommend us to their family and friends means a great deal to us.”
In an industry known for low wages and rampant turnover, Sunstates Security offers superior compensation and benefits, as well as a clearly defined career path. The philosophy is simple: happier employees deliver better client service. The success of this approach is evident in an annual compounded growth rate that exceeds 20%.
“The men and women who wear the Sunstates uniform are responsible for our success as an organization, and we are committed to recognizing and rewarding their efforts,” says Chief Operating Officer Denis Kelly. “It’s both humbling and gratifying to earn their endorsement.”
Best Employer Requirements
Forbes annually partners with market research firm Statista to assess companies based on reported employee experience. Statista surveyed 50,000 Americans working for companies with at least 1,000 employees, which produced two lists: top large companies with more than 5,000 U.S. employees and top midsize companies employing 1,000 to 5,000 U.S. workers. The most recent survey included questions about performance recognition, career opportunities, and the organization’s management of the coronavirus crisis.
