2024 Training APEX Award
Per Training Magazine, “All applications are judged quantitatively by an outside research company and qualitatively by Training‘s editor/publisher, Lorri Freifeld, and the Training Hall of Famers (organizations that earned a Top 10 placement in the Training APEX Awards rankings for four consecutive years).”
Our training department worked vigorously with corporate team members and employees in the field to complete the extensive application. “Collaboration amongst the various departments was integral to our success, and our commitment extends beyond advancing Sunstates-specific training. We are dedicated to elevating our training initiatives to encompass Sunstates-specific programs and emphasize personal development and growth within our organization. This training APEX award recognition emphasized the transparency and unwavering enthusiasm our Corporate Training department exhibits in championing the exceptional employees within our teams,” stated Chrissy Glenn, Training Coordinator and Director of Corporate Training Kristine Correll.
Sunstates Training Program
As a security personnel provider, we know the importance of training and developing team members. Our training department does a phenomenal job of ensuring our online academy, which is available to all team members, is up to date to include ever-evolving matters and concerns.
Every Sunstates security officer undergoes initial and ongoing training that meets or exceeds the most stringent standards. We also regularly add mandatory training to prepare our officers for new situations, such as pandemic health measures, riot/civil unrest management, active shooter incidents, de-escalation techniques, and other relevant topics that align with the dynamic nature of societal changes. Additionally, each Sunstates officer must pass regular, site-specific audits based on client requirements. To increase the overall value provided by the security program at each site, our officers are cross-trained to fulfill multiple roles and responsibilities and be readily available at a moment’s notice.
Sunstates Security prides itself on promoting from within, and with the impressive growth the company has seen, there are a lot of opportunities for individuals to advance their careers. The training department offers several courses to help with professional development and to learn supervisory and management skills. Many team members who have utilized these tools have received promotions.
